Vacancies at a Human Capacity Development Company( 3 Positions)


1) LEGAL MANAGER
The Legal Manager will be required to effectively and efficiently manage the Legal department, provide legal advisory services and ensure
proper management of legal and contractual risks in the organization thereby contributing to business growth.

The Legal Manager is expected to:
• Provide leadership, manage staff and resources in the Legal department
• Provide and interpret legal information and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
• Review and advise management on legal implication of internal policies and procedures
• Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly
• Assess legal implications that needs to be brought to the management’s attention
• Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to support various business activities
• Negotiate, review and draft documentations for business transactions
• Prepare monthly and quarterly report of the department for executive management meetings
• Provide continuous leadership, supervision, training and development of the Legal department staff to ensure an effective and motivated team
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate course actions are taken.
• Liaise with the HR department in conducting performance appraisal to ensure competency gaps are addressed.
• Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management


Qualifications :
A minimum of Bachelors degree or its equivalent in the Arts or Social Sciences
• 5-7 years post call inclusive of NYSC. At least 4 of these years in a good corporate commercial legal firm or in a good corporate Legal department.
• A professional and commercial approach to legal affairs
• Confidence and articulation with capital market knowledge
• Managerial skills for supervision and management of staff and company assets

2) HUMAN RESOURCES / ADMIN MANAGER
The Human Resources Manager will be required to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the employee and administrative functions of the organization strategically to maximize the growth of the business.The Human Resources Manager is expected to:• Lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business• Ensure effective Employee Relations - managing absence, sickness etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement• Coach managers on Performance Management issues and processes• Provide guidance on development for managers and their teams• Implement the Training and Development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement• Manage talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns• Reward advice and support employees on company benefits• Formulate policies & implement procedures of new HR policies• In conjunction with the Head of HR, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.• Work with senior managers, coach them and advise on all people issues• Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills• Craft business and people solutions• Manage priorities between casework and projects• Execute effective Compensation and Payroll Administration• Manage HR budgets
Qualifications :
• A minimum of Bachelors degree or its equivalent in the Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences
• 6-10 years experience HR including at least 4-5 years in a best practice environment
• Working knowledge of Performance Management, Payroll Administration and Training
• A professional and commercial approach to HR
• Strong personal and leadership experience
• Managerial skills for supervision and management of staff and company assets

3) PERSONAL ASSISTANT
The Personal Assistant is expected to:

Provide a full range of confidential personal assistance to the Managing Director and is responsible for the execution of secretarial duties, management and organization of Managing Director’s office.
• Compose and prepare correspondences, reports, memorandums, agendas and minutes of meetings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and business associates.
• Maintain good filing systems for smooth data retrieving.
• Arrange meetings/conferences; prepare presentations and other related tasks.
• Make travel arrangements for related local and overseas trip.
• Convey, coordinate, supervise, pursue and follow up on the instructions by the Managing Director to the respective management staff.
• To undertake other special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when required by the Managing Director.
• Liaisons with internal departments, subsidiaries, bankers, lawyers and government offices.
• Able to do multi-task, prioritize work and meet tight schedules.
Qualifications :
Qualifications and experience of candidate will include:
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, HND, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Secretarial or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience.
• NYSC certificate.
• Possessing good communication skills and proficient in both written & spoken in English.
• Detailed-oriented, well-organized, courteous, conscientious, resourceful and proactive with sense of urgency in completing the tasks assigned.
• Self-motivated with a high level of integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation and reporting skills.
• Good working attitude, mature personality, team player and able to work under a minimum supervision.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Secretarial/Executive & Personal Assistant or equivalent.
